New Patient Timeline
Step 1 — Check Availability
Start by filling out a short form in our prospective patient portal. You’ll share a little about yourself and what kind of support you’re looking for, and we’ll confirm whether we’re a good fit.
Step 2 — Insurance & Billing
Once we’ve confirmed availability, we’ll get you set up through Headway, our billing platform. We’ll start the process for you — you’ll just need to verify and complete your information. Getting this done quickly helps move things along.
Step 3 — Patient Portal
After Headway is complete, you’ll receive a link to set up your SimplePractice patient portal, where you’ll complete your intake paperwork. Most of it is quick initials and signatures, though some forms take a bit more time. You don’t need to finish everything at once, but it must be completed before your first appointment.
Step 4 — Complete Your Paperwork
Take your time working through the intake forms in SimplePractice. If you have questions along the way, you can reach us through Spruce Health.
Step 5 — First Appointment
Once your paperwork is complete, you’re ready to schedule. Your first visit is called an intake appointment, and it’s where we’ll get to know you and start building your care plan.
