Medication Management

Starting or adjusting psychiatric medication is a big decision — one you shouldn't navigate alone. At Veridian Health, medication management is a partnership built around you, and our philosophy is simple: we will never keep anyone on medication longer than necessary.

What is Medication Management?

Medication management is the ongoing process of finding the right medications and dosages for your specific needs, then adjusting them over time as your mental health evolves. It’s not a one-time decision — it’s a continuous, collaborative conversation between you and your provider, built around what’s actually working for you.

What does medication management include?

Your voice guides every decision we make. We schedule regular appointments to review how your medications are working, paying close attention to both the progress you’re making and any challenges you encounter. Through open communication and consistent monitoring, we can make adjustments quickly — keeping your care plan aligned with your goals and your quality of life.

What about side effects?

If side effects arise, we take an active role in helping you manage them. We believe in using the lowest effective dose possible, and if reducing or stopping a medication is appropriate, we’ll do so gradually and safely — always keeping your well-being at the center of every decision.

Can I stop taking medication?

When the time is right, we’ll work with you on a personalized tapering plan, monitoring your progress every step of the way. Some people discontinue medication successfully; others benefit from longer-term treatment. Either way, our approach is collaborative, flexible, and guided by current clinical evidence — always moving at a pace that feels safe and manageable for you.

In Oregon, I see patients both in-person in Portland and statewide through telehealth.

I work in close collaboration with Seva Mental Health, who supports much of my administrative work, though I am an independent provider and a separate entity from Seva.
