Help when you need it
Life doesn’t run on a 9-to-5 schedule, and your mental health care shouldn’t either. Whether you work nights, swing shifts, or weekends, or simply have a life that doesn’t leave room for a midday appointment, finding a provider who’s actually available when you are can feel impossible.
At Veridian Health, flexibility isn’t an afterthought. We offer evening, late-night, and weekend telehealth appointments so you can get consistent, quality psychiatric care without rearranging your entire life. Meet with us from home, between shifts, or whenever works best for you.
Meet Your Provider

My name is Gilbert J. Gutierrez, and I believe that mental health care should feel like a partnership, not a transaction. At my practice, I provide a collaborative, laid-back environment where we focus on treating the individual rather than just a clinical presentation. My goal is to support your autonomy and daily functioning through an educational partnership, ensuring you always understand the “why” behind your treatment.
My approach to treatment is rooted in evidence-based medicine and sophisticated psychiatric medication management for complex cases. I specialize in “thinking outside the box” to find stability where traditional methods may have fallen short, whether that involves repurposing time-tested medications for Bipolar Disorder and Depression, or managing care for Medically Complex Patients.
For those seeking a more robust diagnostic clarity, I utilize a comprehensive evaluation system for ADHD and integrated assessments for Schizophrenia and Schizoaffective disorders.
I am committed to providing high-quality psychiatric care both in-person in Oregon and via telehealth in Illinois. Whether we meet in the office or on a screen, the focus remains the same.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is your approach to medication management?
I take a person-first, evidence-based approach to psychiatric medication management. Rather than just treating a diagnosis, I focus on you as an individual. This often involves thinking outside the box, merging traditional psychiatric knowledge with modern insights, such as the strategic use of repurposed medications to find relief for treatment-resistant conditions.
How does your ADHD evaluation differ from a standard clinic?
At Veridian Health, I utilize a robust interview and evaluation system that goes beyond simple checklists. We dive deep into your unique executive function, history, and goals to ensure your treatment plan is built on a comprehensive understanding of your brain, not just a label.
Do you only provide services via telehealth?
I provide expert care across multiple states. In Oregon, I offer both in-person appointments in the Portland area and statewide telehealth. In Illinois, I provide services exclusively via high-quality, secure telehealth. My practice is designed to offer flexible scheduling, including evening and weekend hours, to fit your life.
What does it mean that you are an independent provider?
While I collaborate closely with other professional networks like Seva Mental Health for administrative support, Veridian Health is a private practice owned and operated by me, Gilbert J. Gutierrez, PMHNP-BC. This independence allows me to maintain a laid-back, educational partnership with my patients without the hierarchical feel of a large medical corporation.
